I have had 2 interviews for bank posts as HCA, the first one I
must have done very well on, as they rushed me thorough to the
induction course the following week (most other people had had
interviews up to 6 months previously)
Anyhoo, they asked me why I wanted the job, what I thought Id be
doing, how would I like coming into work in the afternoon after
spening the morning in the sunshine and the like. The thing I
remember most about that interview was the question I was asked,
pt 1 has just died, pt2 needs changing and youre due a break,
what do you do?
I suggested that if I hadnt had a break I might not be working
to my best abilities, so I would probably go for a cup of tea.
They were happy with that answer.
However, since starting many times I would stop to help someone
on my way to a break, and if I was in the office and heard call
bells go unamswered I would cut my break short to go answer them.
Probably becuase I was on an ederly rehab ward, and all the old
dears were so nice.
Second interview (I have just moved to start uni - nursing
obviously - so bit far to commute back to old job for weekends!)
was much the same, but I could answer more about what I felt my
job was, as I had more experience. Last question was about
something I had done that I was proud of, and I had to think - do
I mention something from hosp, or something else? In the end I
told them about an election campaign I ran for myself.
Have not heard back from them yet, but hope it went well!
