The Request For Discussion (RFD) for aus.science.nursing has been cancelled.

Proponent did not follow up for a vote

Does science and nursing belong in the same sentence anyway?

About as much as science and computer belong in the same
sentence.

Hi Barnsey,

Could you explain? Surely the increased level of scientific knowledge being
taught to Nurses is a good thing - given the latest generation of Nurses now

To tell you the truth, I have found damned little use for the science
background
I was force fed while jumping through the hoops of nursing school. Of course,
Im a hospital nurse working at the bedside... ie, doing *real* nursing... and
so why should I not be surprised. The ones who actually do the work dont set
the priorities.

You want useful information for bedside nursing? Take a sociology or
psychology
course instead. The actual technical skills generally dont require more than
innate intelligence and monkee see, monkee do. The people skills are a whole

nother thing....
