I am being offered employment in an Oxford Hospital. The one place in the UK
Ive never been is Oxford. Anyone have advice to offer?

Hi,
I lived in Oxford for 1 year about 7 years ago and worked at the JR. Its
very old and pretty - well what you can see above the heads of numerous
tourists! For me this was the main downside - as a local, I found it
difficult to settle in as there are so many people passing through -
tourists, students etc. The night life was laid back andpub based, but
getting to London is dead easy at any time of day if you fancy a more lively
time. Its also REALLY expensive - London prices! As I come from up north,
I found this rather a shock. I could only afford to live in hospital digs
which was a bit grim!
