I am chronically depressed and am suffering from memory loss. I have been
told by my GP he is referring me to a Psychologist for some memory tests.
Does anyone know what these entail. I am in the UK

term memory is often tested by asking general knowledge type questions,
depending on your age. For example, who was Prime Minister before Tony Blair
or Margaret Thatcher? Who won the Second World War? Short term memory is
usually tested by showing cards with words or pictures and asking questions
about recall. Or a variety of articles might be shown, then re-arranged out
of sight, then the patient is asked to return the articles to their original
places. All quite painless.
