Hi All
I need to find info on the above ... ( Jewish Rituals at Death )

Im sure there are things that I need to observe on the death of a client in
care, with regard to care post death.
Such as last rights? Washing down the deceased? etc.
The person is im informed a liberal Jew but I need to make sure I do
the right thing. Family also liberal and say they cant help??

This client is in a nursing home and I would not wish to upset anyone by
doing something I may or may not do at the time of death. The client resides
on the East Coast of UK ( Skegness ) so any info or pointers would be
appreciated. Especially Jewish groups in this area I may be able to contact
for info.

Thanks in advance Graham

the ritual is called taharah and involves laying the body in shrouds then
placing the body in the coffin whilst reciting prayers. if you go to
google.co.uk and type in taharah you should find something in relation to
what you are trying to find. hope you can find plenty.
