Hiya

Hope someone can help? I trained as a RGN and qualified in 1993 just
as the diploma level training started and the RGN was phased out.

My problem now is that in order to retrain as a health visitor I have
to have 120 credits at level 2 and I did level 1 as a RGN.

Does anyone know how I can earn 120 level 2 credits?

Also I have been raising children and been out of nursing for over 3
years and probably have to do the return to practice course.....anyone
had any experience of this and is it available in Milton Keynes?

You need to contact your local nursing uni about level 2 post-reg modules.
The Programme Director for post-reg courses should be able to do pathway
planning and give advice on an appropriate route. They may suggest
stand-alone modules to a total of 120 level 2 credits or one of their
post-reg diplomas which will also give you 120 level 2 credits. Another
possibility is to do some level 2 or 3 health-related modules with the Open
University plus some diploma level modules at your local nursing uni.
